To God Our Father

My word of the year being prayerful, I have started a devotional on the YouVersion app for the Bible on my phone called The Power Of A Simple Prayer by Max Lucado.   Today he talked about something I really needed to hear.   Prayers don’t have to be eloquent and lengthy, but a simple conversation. He says “Remember the One who hears your prayers is your Daddy.   You don’t need to wow him with eloquence”   Jesus even said that its not super important how you say what you need to say.   The more words are not the better.   Jesus says in Matthew 6:7, “Don’t ramble like heathens who…talk a lot”.   The truth in the matter is that we really don’t have to say a lot as He already knows what is on our hearts and on our minds.   It’s nice to be able to talk to Him and tell him what we need to but we don’t have to worry about stumbling over our words to try to get them out just right.   Lucado went on to say, “vocabulary and geograp...
